Read the whole thread - I’ve already quoted that, actually a few posts above yours (and the point about the infinite denominator is made in the OP)

My first thought was that common sense says you are making a silly argument. It is obvious to us that space between two points is finite. It's true as far as we experience it. Also the way you stated it as a math equation misses the mark IMO. The problem is reducibility.

You bring up a good metaphysical point. What is the basic thing that makes up matter? Does it go deeper than quarks? We don't really know do we? In theory where does reducibility of particles stop? With all of our technology we still don't know. In reality there cannot be an infinite number of sub-particles that make up higher order particles, but we don't really know where it stops.

Yes. This was not explained very well in the OP.

That’s not accurate OP, there’s not an infinite number of points in there. The smallest unit of measurement possible is a plank length, so that would be your limit.

That is discrete - what makes it discrete?

It’s only a workable constant used based on measurements of light. Just our measurement. Historically our measurements always become more precise and usually end up directing us to unmeasurable levels.

That's true, but it doesn't mean space is discrete. You can always say in order to travel 1 Planck length you have to travel 1/2 a Planck length first, and so on...

The Planck length simply describes the scale on which Quantum gravitational effects dominate.

Exactly. Let’s say having discrete spacial building blocks like plancks exist.

How does matter move from Planck to Planck? There is no such thing as traversing half a Planck. The division between Plancks could not exist as it would be smaller.

So we have a discrete mathematical measurement we must traverse between that we can’t really traverse between because between doesn’t exist.

Therefore we must hop through plancks like a frame rate.

One Planck, we disappear, reappear on the next Planck. I submit we must either exit the current dimensional space and re-enter on the next point or another intentional higher dimensional force is recreating everything in existence at every Planck and we are one giant 3D construct playing frame by frame.

Either way a higher dimension is needed for motion and energy to exist.

Hmm I’ll need to ponder this later

Take your hand and start and point A, then move it over to point B.

Congratulations. You just performed the impossible. You just traversed infinity.

Wrong. You traversed an infinite number of points, not infinity.
