The cop's job here is to secure the scene, de-escalate, then investigate. He failed to de-escalate, even escalated the situation himself, until he decided to arrest the lady out of anger. Bad choice on his part. It will not go well for him.

Of course this is true. But the problems are that the "Thin blue line" people want to pretend that the cops ARE always good and the victims are always liars. The other problem is that the police cover up for or just deny that there are bad cops. Thed good cops donff get a pass for that.

Wrong. I think most people just push back on the idea that there is systemic racism in law enforcement. Especially cities where you usually hear this story that have mayors, police chiefs, and the majority of the police force who are all black

It’s just dishonest to focus on only the bad interactions. You have to know the total number of police interactions to know if there is a problem or not.

However many stories a year come out a year doesn't mean most of the million or so of them are bad either
kind of like a couple hundred teachers a year getting caught fricking students doesn't mean most of the 2 or 3 million of them do

The cops I hate are ones who abuse their authority and talk down to you and try to intimidate you because they know you can’t do anything. I encountered one yesterday (state trooper). There are some dick cops out there, no doubt. I can understand why there are people who don’t like or trust cops.
