I work in the medical field and have an Alexa across the room from where I take conference calls. I would be interested in how Amazon is able to reconcile recording possible HIPAA sensitive information when they state that there is no recording transmitted other than when the keyword is used.
Granted I don't discuss patient information on these calls but it is walking a fine line on their part. There should be absolutely zero gray area.

So I guess you, Mr. Ebay, are the authority on Amazon products now?

I have a Sonos speaker hooked up with Alexa in my office. I like to tell it all of my clients' confidential information. That way if it gets out and I'm fired, I can sue Amazon and retire.

No it wasn't.
I just read the thread and the closest thing to "debunking" going on is you tossing out a personal theory.

Debunked?
Amazon CONFIRMED that it happened. But what do they know?
The OT Tech Board is on this, stand back Amazon.

It's hilarious that CAD thinks his personal ramblings equate to "debunking".

It’s hilarious people don’t realize this. I tested this out with a buddy who didn’t believe it. Got him to talk about chocolate and candy bars for about 5 minutes straight. 1 hour later he had kit kat ads on his Instagram.
Could you not simply disable all your apps' access to your microphone and camera?
