Wait, how does the pharmacy get popped here? Aren't they just filling prescriptions that doctors write?

Yea, good chance some physicians are going down hard for this.
Not sure what the laws are in regards to opiate prescribing in LA. Some states set limits on how many you can prescribe and for how many days.

They were probably not running patients through the La board of pharmacy website and allowing patients to fill medications from multiple doctors. Or could be allowing patients to fill scripts much earlier than they were written to be filled.

They could be filling obviously fake prescriptions. Kind of like a liquor store that is lax when it comes to ID's.
