Then sell the bastard. Don't waste the money bunch of idiots. Sounds like it is now going to be used as a beach vacation spot for the politicians.

Politicians are going to Politician!

Yep, perfect people to make sound decisions on where money is spent. This is why the least amount of gov necessary is what we need.

Sure there are other things that need attention in the state other than the mansion

This happens all the time. In Louisiana, when a Littering ticket is wrote the money is put in State Trooper Retirement and not towards cleaning up litter or the environment.

We charge a gas tax in Louisiana and guess what? Only 11% goes towards anything related to highways and infrastructure.

It's not a mansion no matter how they describe it and it's not even beachfront I don't think. I believe it's built on a second tier lot. No way it's woth a million bucks today no matter who is appraising it.

I understand that concept, but most of those typical revenue streams were designed for such alternative appropriations. This BP oil money was supposed to be restitution for damages and lost commerce. Any other usage not intended to promote commerce seems immoral to me.

That would have been to give Saban another raise.

Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't use the money to secure Alabama's football coach's future or split it between their 2 major state football programs...

If you can understand that concept then you can understand why politicians are using BP money for whatever they want.

Yet another slippery slope in politics. We allow our rulers to do something then complain when they do it.

to pay recruits. That's probably already well-taken care of.

It's a freaking dump in one of the most depressed areas of Montgomery.

Within a mile of the gates are about 20 title pawn businesses if that tells you anything.

Apparently Alabama should have used that money on education because your reading comprehension is atrocious.

Motive for the rebuild, Gov. Horny lost his beach house in his divorce. He was regular banging some political power groupie slut on the side and he got caught. He should have resigned.
