That's 100% correct. Perfect definition for what this woman did. A good arse whipping never hurt anyone. And that little belt aint hurting shite.
Hell, I was talking to some buddies and one of my old fb coaches about a time my head fb coach beat my fricking arse!! The Principle and RB coach had to witness it. Shoot i tried to take the 3 days suspension and he said to bad, i already called your mom and she said beat your arse. Coach said he hit me so hard he saw tears hit the desk!! Lol

I think this is the crux of the issue here. That's not discipline or correction. That's releasing anger. Disciplining a child you love doesn't generally include that type of cursing to accompany the licks with a switch, paddle, belt, etc.

That was extremely egregious discipline for not finishing your chore of cleaning the kitchen before going to a friends house for a little bit.

I used to have to pick my own switch. When Dad would pull off his belt "The Ninja" we knew we were in for it. My brother and I turned out just fine. Would have gotten it again if He found out we were recording it(no cell phones in the 90s) I hate that personal matters like this ever make the light of day. ETA: that lady went way overboard. ETA: ok, that lady is just straight beating that kid. Send her away

What's hard is we don't know what was happening prior to the filiming. Not defending her at all, but he may have been talking shite or trying to act tough or cool. She did go overboard and was way past discipline in my opinion.
My brother's and I got it a lot worst growing up and we never felt like we were "abused". I think if we called the police back then they would have laughed at us.

Letting a child get the best of your emotions isn't something to brag about. And I think that's the biggest problem here. A parent can just go home and take all of their frustrations out on a child and use any excuse like "he/she got smart with me".

For supporters of frequent Corporal punishment: if you are having to spank or whoop your child’s arse frequently or even several times, then guess what? Your corporal punishment is not working.

There is no discipline installed there. All she doing is showing the kid it’s ok to react with violence when you don’t get your way. That’s how you get little hoodrats with zero emotional control

This was how I was disciplined growing up. I do believe in corporeal punishment but when I administered it it was with a small paddle and depending on the offense it was only 1-3 swats.
As per the video, she is clearly emotionally driven and cursing the kid is unnecessary- - but pants up, and maybe a few strikes too many but I’m not going to say this rises to criminal conduct if it was part of discipline of the child.

Spanking to discipline a child is one thing, but this woman is clearly working through her own rage on her kid. That’s not spanking for discipline.
I was spanked as a child; my dad was never out of control like that. Not even close.
