Well it's always okay to deny people of their human rights if it offends the sensibilities of the states majority.

Pathetic.

The south loses..again

This gets an overwhelming amount of down votes. Kinda shows how low the intellect is in the southeast. Pathetic. Always fighting against civil rights.

frickers can't read. Rule 45. No mandate issues when appeal comes from a federal circuit. It is effective immediately.

So minority rules and that's ok.

See, that is how rights work. The majority never needs constitutional rights. Rights exist to protect individuals from the majority. That's always been the plan.

Don't even bother. You're arguing with people with middle school mentalities. When I was in 5th grade, calling someone gay was the ultimate insult. Then I grew up.

And further more, rule 45 never specifies "Earth days". We could say twenty five days on mercury and extend this for decades. This ain't over boys, not by a long shot.

i read elsewhere that they let them cut in line because the majority of the people in line were not a "good" picture.

I'd love to see the reaction to a gay couple proposal on the big screen at Bryant-Denny.

Good point. How long until we see the first gay couple proposal at a sporting event?

Because Rule 44 of the Supreme Court allows for a petition for re-hearing within 25 days.

It's really sad how Alabama and Louisiana (at least) are throwing their little tantrums about this. They've lost, they know they've lost, but like children they are standing in the corner with their arms crossed and their lower lips sticking out and refusing for 25 more days. And the best part is that they seriously don't realize just how pathetic they are.

fine. after 25 days, they get to get married.

a minor obstacle. most people plan their weddings more than 25 days in advance anyway.

no one will care, except to laugh at the prejudiced red necks.

You shouldn't have to wait any amount of days for a basic civil right. That's the crime in all of this
