Elise & Camphor have been fixed. No more flood reaching top of stop sign. Those were the days.

Thanks for the responses. They are excited about the house. She works in downtown New Orleans and he has several jobs in the area a BR.

Born and raised right there and attended the catholic school and played ball at Miley and Lafreniere.
My parents still live there near W. Napoleon. It's a dated area, lots of older folks but are seeing a bit of younger families moving in which is great to see. I remember spreading yards of river sand every so often with my brother and dad so the house wouldn't flood.
As others have said, do your homework on the house such as foundation and plumbing. But otherwise I have nothing but good to say about that area.

Good area. Camera plumbing inspection is a must.
My mother had a broken sewer line and then had to get people to tunnel under to replace and hang all pipes with ss hangers and then pump sand for backfill. Pricey.
