Anyone know what organization or cause these guys with high visibility vests and buckets are panhandling for? Someone once told me these guys travel from area to area doing this shite for living

No clue about their cause, but they can definitely get belligerent with you. I’ve seen some touch windshields and the roof of your car.

I keep the pistol in my cup holder in plain sight, they never approach too closely, and if they do they back up quickly

They ought to be arrested if they touch a vehicle. I've seen them knock on windows multiple times to force someone to interact with them. That kind of shite is too far.

I don’t think it’s allowed, I just think the cops are too busy responding to burglary and gun shot calls elsewhere in the city.

They are terrible on Bluebonnet too. At I-10, Jefferson and Airline.
There was this old black man there for months that would walk between the two lanes heading towards Airline and when the light turned green traffic would have to stop to let him back over to the roadside.
