This is dumb. That guy died because he was a idiot and did something stupid. He put himself in a pinch point. Yes the elevator malfunctioned and didn't level correctly and land where it is supposed to. But it was the man that tried getting out and put himself in that position.

You apparently didn't watch the video. He was stepping out and it dropped suddenly. He didn't stand in the door way for seconds.
