would have payed you 2k to move mine out of my house. No one ever used it.
Paid a year storage when we moved, because my wife wouldn't decide if she wanted it in the new house. Now its here and it just takes up space.

The suggestions here are good, you may also find a nearby musical school. There a are several times they sell off the old pianos to bring in new ones. I got about $3000 off retail price on mine that way and it had only been used by people working on their music degrees, was in great shape.

Craigslist. You might even be able to get one for free. People are always looking to get rid of them for cheap to anyone who can haul them away and tune them.

Ask around. All of my friends' parents are starting to downsize and I swear every other one has a nice piano (or spinet) the kids don't want and they can't give it away.

We gave ours away for free to anyone who would pay for professional, insured movers to come get it.
$2k is insane for something that is given away all the time. Even those being sold by owners are rarely more than $500.

If you can play piano, you definitely want to buy one you can try out or have someone do that for you. Don’t want to spend $2K on one with a bunch of broken strings. I bought my Steinway sight unseen, but didn’t think there would be a problem because of quality and the name. Had no issues.
