I was in the market to buy a small place in the city and rent it out part time and have a home for the few weeks throughout the year im down there but the new restrictions passed and I fell back. I still watch around and different homes that come on the market and if I knew that I'd be able to rent it out short term time to time to help a little on the mortgage and keep the lights on, I'd definitely get back serious again.

That was my plan for the triplex. Airbnb the bottom two units. Keep the top one for myself. I’ll make it work some way.

It then just turned into having drunk, loud tourist throwing parties in it. It got so bad the neighbors actually got the city to do something to stop it.
Happened to family of mine in the Marigny too

New Orleans has plenty of hotel rooms, why do they need to rent out houses as well?
Not specific to New Orleans but when I go on long trips with friends and family (7+ days with 6+ people) we usually rent houses. Beach and mountains. I suppose some people would do the same if they came to New Orleans.

The travel nurse/executive seems to be the best option for everyone.

...but where will you list it for rental for these traveling executives if not AirBNB and VRBO?

Trade Magazines.
Probably faceyspace or backpages.

Do those sites not allow you to list if you don’t have the permit?
