Have you ever met a dude who can't stay focused enough to give basic directions or tell a short story? I want those people on adderall.

Less than 1% of the diagnosed people actually have a chemical imbalance actually causing adhd
Honest question:
Are you out of shape with a high carb/sugar diet and lack of exercise.
Because you won't need government grade meth if you just alter your diet a bit and exercise a couple days a week.
You can also work on managing and channeling your ticks.

there are drugs out there that significantly improve your focus. That's a real thing.
This is true, but does that mean that everyone has ADHD? I've taken adderall already, and it definitely made me more focused, but I've also lived my entire life without needing it.

For most people its a personality trait, not a medical deficiency.
Not everyone has laser focus all day, I don't go see the doctor because I can't run a 40 in 4.7 seconds.

This is how I look at it. I mean, how many hours in a day do people spend on TD, when they are supposed to be working. Are we doing this because we all have ADD, and can't pay attention to our work?

Yeah government grade meth. There are plenty of side effects and you build a tolerance and need to keep increasing and chasing that high.

Whenever old people get grumpy about this, I'm always like, Oh I'm sorry, did you have the entire known knowledge of human history at your fingertips every day at work in the 80's?

Stop eating processed food, sugar, bread, etc, go gluten free!
Problem solved..
That will be a $150.00 consulting fee. I take payment via venmo..

Idk, I was "diagnosed" as a kid, but my pediatrician and parents didn't think I should take any medicine. I didn't get an untimed ACT either.
I started taking Vyvanse as an adult probably 7 years ago after working for about a year. I was having trouble staying on task and completing duties. My doctor recommended we try it out, and things turned around drastically. Hell, after 6 months, my supervisor spoke to his doctor about trying it.
Could I have done it without medication? Yeah, I'm sure, but the medicine works incredibly well.

I have ADHD, and believe it or not, I sometimes get what's called hyper-focused when not on meds. I'll sit down and completely disregard everything else to solve a problem or fix something. Won't eat, sleep, take breaks, etc. until I'm done (or someone tells me what I'm doing). If I step away from the situation, all I can think about is what I was doing.
I usually eat around 4-5000 calories/day. I was designing something not too long ago from 8am-5am non-stop, and didn't eat a single thing. Other than it being light or dark outside, I couldn't tell you what time it was without looking at a clock. Wasn't the least bit tired. That was a project I thought of, and had no due date or anything

Yeah, probably for some. I've never really had any high after the first week or so. It can be abused though, no doubt.

I regulate myself to the dosage right below where I start feeling side effects. The side effects are counterproductive for me, because I just think about them

Yea, I mean I would probably be a better employee if I was on some sort of stimulant, but not being on one hasn't hindered me.

It's because we don't need a the time.
Old people are grumpy about that because they used to have to flip through a roledex, hand write a quote, and then fax it and wait for a reply. It would take hours to complete a task that now takes me 5 minutes.

I agree 100%.
Im definitely easily distracted. But every time I've tried the medicine I just become a regurgitation robot. I could read a book and repeat it to you but I couldn't creatively think my way out of a wet paper bag

I've actually always agreed with this which is why I've gone over 40 years and never even considered ADHD as a possibility. I always thought it was made up BS until the girlfriend and a couple other friends flat out told me I definitely had it. I was like GTFO but was given a few Adderall that I took for work and the difference was night and day. Calmed my mind down and relaxed me and I was getting three times as much work done as normal. ADHD may be complete BS but those few I took that time made a huge difference.
I don't understand the stigma involved with the med though. As long as you're not abusing them and the s### works and doesn't make rot your brain or make you psychotic then why the hell not take it?

If you're 40 and would rather do government meth than a little diet, exercise, and will power be my guest. I think you're a weak drug addict, but be my guest.
A parent forcing that medication down a 14 year olds throat because he's having trouble staying laser focused 8 hours a day in a regimented and boring school program is criminal to me.
