Watch Bob Ross paint.

Sure this sounds crazy but ASMR works for many people. Certain sounds can relax and knock folks out.

His voice and the tapping scratching of the paint brush knock me out like a sledgehammer to the head.

Actually being serious here.

LONG story short, I am getting to my wits end. CPAP machine, melatonin, no sugar, no caffeine, sunlight, vitamin D...you name it, not worked on consistent basis.

Time to start drinking.

Sleeping pills are a short term solution due to accommodation.

Ask a friend to hook you up with a gram of some good weed. Sleeping pills are a goddamn nightmare. They are horrible for you.

Weed is safe. Non habit forming. Inexpensive. You're own your own with the night eating though.

Have you tried doxylamine succinate? I've been taking it nightly for nearly a decade. I'd rather be dependent on that than lose sleep. The latter will kill you.

Try staying off all electronic devices(TV, cell, computer, etc) after 8 for a few nights.

If you already have a habit of raiding the refrigerator at night, Ambien isn't for you.

You'll still do it but won't remember.

If you have sleep apnea get a c-pap machine.

Are you as big as your sister Walt?

You may just have big genes.

His main problem is eating at night, I don't think weed is the correct medication in this situation

Friend of mine used sleepy tea. Suppose to have no side affects, very mild.

OP: I have the same deal.

Try taking an anti-depressant in the a.m., like Lexapro 20 mg. If your problem is your mind won't shut down at night, the Lexapro might help, but best taken in the a.m.
