I know adderall will only stay in your pee between 2-4 days. Haven’t heard of many companies doing a hair test though. Every job I’ve had has just been a urine sample.

They absolutely care about adderall because it’s an amphetamine.

Hair tests are supposed to show repeated use. I think what it does is test the entire 1.5" sample as a whole, and then get the concentration of whatever drug from that. It probably won't be higher than the limit, but that depends on what the limit is set at.
Don't shave your head the day before. They'll just take it from your legs or armpits, and that hair grows slower, so it'll go further back. I had some bitch shave the back of both of my legs, only to not seal up the sample properly, and it all fell out in transit. I couldn't wear jeans without pain for a month
Eta: I take it as needed with a prescription, and they haven't ever even asked if I had a prescription. I've done a lot of hair tests, and known people that have done them, and I'm at the point where I think the companies don't really test all of the samples. I think they just use it as a scare tactic sometimes

They look at your script history and see if you have one. You aren't getting questioned because they're checking the database.

Basically, they will concentrate on the root area. In hair, the only real issues are from addicts who abuse drugs. They can find that activity. Butbthey really arent looking for a one time pill that someone took months before. Is it "possible" to find? Probabaly not. But the costs in getting that detailed of a tests outweighs what the company wants to spend.
Every persons body will metabolize a drug at different efficacy rate, depending on the alleles in their pathways.
I think there is ZERO chance they look for or even find your adderall.
