I think it does, but it also depends on the person performing the procedure. Do your homework.

Neither up nor down vote..
It feels very good when its happening but it's not long lasting. Which is how they get you to keep coming back for more and more treatments and more and more expensive.
I'd say it's slightly more legit than a Chiropractor but still not worth the money.

Wife had hip pain. She tried this and everything else. Some of it would provide temp relief. Finally saw an orthopedic surgeon and learned she was born with some hip abnormality. Had total hip replacement and her pain was instantly gone. I am not a believer in acupuncture.

Wife swares by it, it does absolutely nothing for me. I did it for a few months because they say you have to give it time.

I thought all of this was total BS my whole life, but decided to give it a try instead of talking to the pill pushers at the hospitals/clinics.....(I refuse to take so much as an aspirin for anything!)
No experience with acupuncture, however I can personally attest to the efficacy of dry needling for muscular issues. Severe 'Frozen Shoulder' movement limited to very painful <10% for over 3 weeks, back up to 95% range of motion and minimal pain in less than 60 days.
Just dry needles (with low voltage pulses), range of motion exercises, combined with a little chiropractic therapy.

Absolutely it works. Had tingling with my right fingers from writing at work all day. 3 sessions of acupuncture knocked it out and it hasn’t come back.

Absolutely. It’s just not an immediate solution (mask) to the issue you are having. It’s like melting an iceberg, the problem didn’t start overnight, it won’t be remedied in one session.
And don’t go to some chiro turned dry needling supplement selling goofball. Find an old Asian who learned TCM in China and knows their shite.

Why is your body building up toxins? It's abnormal to store toxins. Normal bodily functions include the elimination of toxins through normal means like sweat, piss, poop, and exhalation.
Hell, even as screwed up as my GI systems are I have no problems eliminating waste/toxins. As much as I puke elimination is NOT a problem, retaining minerals, electrolytes, fluids is.

My daughter is a competitive swimmer and has had some pretty bad neck and shoulder injuries during her weight training. We took her to a physiotherapist and he did dry needling. Two sessions and the problems that had been nagging her for years were gone!
