I have a serious question. With universal open carry, how quick would you be to draw on someone you see carrying a gun in a public place? I was just thinking how difficult it would be to really determine if someone is a threat or just packing. Obviously if you make aggressive move towards someone who was not necessarily a threat, they would likely respond to the perceived threat from you.

I haven’t kept up with changes with private businesses in past year or two, but at least before private businesses could still ban legal carry on premises. Don’t know about this particular mall.

Serious answer for most people is nothing would change.

Another day, another shooting. This shite is getting out of hand. Unfortunately, there’s no coming together of elected officials to make any real attempt at curbing this shite. Nobody really wants to get serious about mental health, enforcing laws, keeping criminals behind bars, and closing the border. Until ANY of those things change, gun lobbyists will stand pat.

Richer are getting richer, and the poorer are getting poorer.

Not to get political, but our current administration has done NOTHING to bring this country together.

Money also makes the world go round, and it’s really hard to make a dollar last.

Absolutely nothing is justified about this.

Biden and his goons will use this as another example to take semi auto rifles out of everyone’s hands except those that protect the government.

This is another one that hits close to home. “Safe” cities may be safe from hoodrat shite, but nobody is safe from a mass shooter these days. It’s only a matter of time before it happens in your backyard or mine.

I said after Uvalde that something needed to be done. I also posted a couple pages ago that nothing will happen. No side will compromise. MSM has made everything political from the start.

We’ve already had gun laws and immigration on this incident. The truth will come out, and it will be a stalemate.

Honestly, the actions on both sides of the arena is sickening at this point. Everyone tries to toe a partly line, but the party lines are so fricked up at this point that it feels slimy.

The excuse that this has always gone on is tired and played out. It’s too frequent these days, and unfortunately nobody in an elected position cares.

The coverage of this shooting is no doubt political. It’s the reason the shooters identify and place of origin has not been released yet. He’s dead and they no doubt know who he is and where he’s from. They’ve purposely muzzled everyone when it come to the shooter.

It was a conservative frat member pissed because he was kicked out of his fraternity.

Seriously, why say shite like this because you really don't know who will up and decide to shoot up a place. The dude who went into a black church in.. Was it alabama or several years ago? What about the jackass who shot up the bank he worked for? Working for a bank, I would assume he would be more conservative.

Or maybe some or not political at all, but you just jump to an assumption without knowing anything other than there is an active shooter.

You are spot on.

Once upon a time, red and blue would find a way to unite. Those days are long gone. There really is no solution at this point. Criminals will be caught and released. Guns will end up in the wrong hands. Politicians will take to Twitter.

I read this several times and it seems like a bait post.

There is no shooting someone due to if they pack and look mean. If they pulled and shoot then packers would react to that. But there is no preemptive shooting.

The bad guy is always going to have the upper hand at first. The packers will react. Most of these shootings are in gun free zones so no one can defend.
