I heard that in Mass, it was 97.5%
And the average age of deaths was 81.

Alot of people's feelings will be very hurt when they find out they have some comorbidities.

As someone who is fully aware I have a rather significant comorbidity, I think this lockdown is complete bullshite, is tantamount to national suicide, and needs to end preferably immediately or no later than May 1. Even if it means I and others like me have to remain quarantined, so be it. But we can’t keep doing what we are doing now because it is destroying more lives than this virus ever could.

Same. The hand wringing is something to behold though.

So you add all of that together, and the portion of the population that truly is in danger is very small.

Not that small, we have a dumbbell shaped age distributions. Baby boomer generation is fairly large but Gen-X is pretty small, and we made way too many millennials.

Sorry what I meant is the portion of the working age that is in danger is very small. Certainly a good bit of boomers are in danger, but many are either capable of working from home or retired already.

Truly, this entire quarantine idea is absurd. There’s absolutely no reason to keep those under 40 from living normal lives outside of routinely seeing their elders.

What about the median age being 63?

I would ignore it. Its better to know the mean and 1 STD in both directions, so you can calculate the hospitalization rate from there.

If my math is right IF (and that's a big assumption) say you have 20 people over.

Let's say all 20 get infected, all healthy, all get sick enough to go to the hospital ( big leap) , then 6% of the 20 could die, then there's roughly a chance one healthy one will.
