Depends on the situation. Emergencies happen and there is not much the receptionist can do about it.

I'm good for 20-30 minutes before my patience runs slim. They're not back there doing surgery or anything.

You need to blame other patients that won't shut the hell up, or come with 250 complaints.

Have most of these been in small town Alaska? Just asking because unless you have some fairly complex issues or vague symptoms, true misdiagnosis are fairly few and far between.

long. They fine no shows and complain big time is you are 15 minutes late then you wait often for hours.

Turn that shite around in them. You have to sign an agreement/acknowledgment for them to charge you. Don’t sign it.

Ask them their policy on rebates or free service when the physician is late or doesn’t see you in a timely manner. frick these medical companies and their shitty business models that create these problems.

let me wait in my damn car or outside or something. Then beep me when you are ready for me just like outback etc. There has to be an app or something that can do this. We can listen to book on tape listen to sirius radio podcast etc. which would at least be something

My dog’s vet numbered their parking spots and had everyone wait in their car during Covid, and it worked out so well that I think they’re still doing it. They have notoriously long wait times, so it was much more bearable.

When we were going to LSU vet regularly, every time they’d finally take my dog back, I’d lie and say I work down the street and need to be there so to call when she’s ready. They didn’t like it because they usually make owners wait, but they will keep your pet back there for HOURS in a holding kennel. I’m not spending 4 hours in your office while my pet is in a kennel.

Sorry, let me clear this up some. My appt was non emergency, MRI scheduled appt with place that has no walk ins, emergency patients etc and was scheduled for 10:15.

I didn’t go until almost 12. They clearly just overbooked the appointments.

I don’t know how many times i have waited for hours with my wife when told to be at surgery center etc at 5 am or 6 to find out doctor doesn’t even come in until 9 or so.

I am about to go with private doctors, it’s worth the money just in the 100s of hours I will save each year in waiting time.

It's the total lack of disrespect that they have for us as a career path. A lot of them are egotistical assholes to think it's ok to not try and be on time for an appointment... and then be excessively beyond it.
