Added 400 sq ft bonus room and office to the house last year. Bought this online shipped to me and paid hvac guy $200 to vacuum the lines and install copper tubing. Myself and GC installed it. Works great. Unit is precharged. Cools a hot room down in 5-10 mins. $1300 total investment.
However not a 12 yr warranty.

you don't need a mitsu for that tiny space

It would, but too ugly and against covenants.
Already have the Samsung installed, got the Ac guys come back today, so we'll see.

Mitsubishi or Daikin. Mitsubishi has the US market because of early entrance and good marketing. However, Daikin is the king of mini-splits worldwide. Mini-splits are relatively new to the US consumer base...starting in the 1990's. The majority of rest of the world does not have attics and have been mini-split users for 40 years. This was Daikin's road to becoming the largest A/C manufacturer in the world. Daikin is the current king...owning Amana, Goodman and many other a/c related companies.
