I made a point not to say that. There has been a lot of good discussion in this thread.

I haven't been around for most of the discussion, but all of I've seen is you act like an a-hole. Maybe you have dealt with more, I don't know. But who are you to tell others that their experiences are less than yours? Do you know our experiences exactly? No, just a summary. I just find it quite off putting you'd present yourself like this in this type of thread.

And I assume the rest of the post was for somebody else...because I unfortunately have more experience in this arena than a buddy from middle school. Not to minimize your very real and very sad experience.
Judging by this post, you were either a user yourself or you had/have a direct relation who is/was, possibly parent, but most likely a sibling.

And assuming that you said to the other poster what I believe you said, I disagree with your opinions.

You made a point to say middle school, high school and college. But it was one dude. No need to be self-important here buddy. Dealing with this shite is sad. It's not a badge of honor.

Maybe you should actually go back and read the thread.

ETA: Seems not one of you responding to me has read this thread.

how is that self important? I just figured this thread turned into a thread of stories from others that know this type of situation. I don't think I've come anywhere close to what some of done, but it had a pretty big affect on my life at one point. You came out guns loaded taking jabs at people for opening up on sensitive subjects, and making others feel like their stories are inadequate to your own, so maybe you should quit being so self important

Well, it is 25 pages. Don't care enough to go back and read it all. We all did see the comments you've made recently though.

I've read every word in it. You quite heavily imply that you're an expert on the matter and that other people's experience is "limited."

I was posting on page 2 of this thread. Stop talking about me coming out with guns blazing. I offered real advice.

Seriously dude. Slow down.

congrats for reading it all

I've read two pages and you have acted like a complete douchebag

Maybe you should look at more than my responses in this thread to see what people think

Any updates on this situation? My wife & I recently spread some of my stepsons ashes while we were on vacation in Miami. It made me think about this thread & I was just wondering if your son was doing ok.... I hope all is well...

best of luck to you and your loved ones. I know what you're going thru, my brother has been addicted to meth for some time now and it's been one of the hardest things my family has ever gone thru. I pray you can get him help immediately, it'll only get worse if he doesn't.
