I’m anxious to see how many items are sold out. I really don’t expect to see the empty shelves people have been talking about, but I could be wrong. How many people do you know personally who are panic buying?

The really good news about this panic buying stuff?

Now the store staff can reach those spots on the newly empty shelves that haven't been cleaned since the Harry Truman Administration.

My wife just went to the DG down the road 10 minutes ago and sent me this.

Good luck!

Part of the problem is going to places like Dollar General. You need to go to a grocery store like Rouse’s.

I live in BFE and there’s a trashy arse DG 5 minutes away. Nearest grocery store is 20 minutes away.

We go to DG for quick things.

Dollar General doesn't even paint their floors, let alone tile them?

Super trashy.

Yep, this one in particular is trashy as frick. A couple months ago I was standing in line and the crackwhore in front of me decided to start telling me all about the opioid crisis in NOLA. I told her about the upcoming The Pharmacist documentary and, I shite you not, she looked me in the eyes and said “OH MY GOD!! I wonder if I’m in it!”.

I smiled and said, “we’ll have to wait and see” and left it at that.

Always an entertaining time in DG.

Same for me. DG or a 20 minute drive to the nearest Walmart or Winn-Dixie.

I was able to find some hand sanitizer last week at a Family Dollar after striking out at Walmart.

So in some isolated places these types of stores may have what you need.

Someone posted on Facebook that Rouses in Golden Meadow was still stocked with TP and other paper products while Walmart was nearly out. I would image other places like the Grand Isle grocery stores would be the same.

Ok, then go to a Dollar General that’s empty instead of driving for 20 minutes and shopping at a store that more than likely has things you need.

Placed an online grocery order at the Walmart in Breaux Bridge last night. This morning I received an email stating that they had to cancel my order due to operational problems and offered a 5 dollar off promo code.

Personally, I don't know anyone who has panicked, but after what I saw at the grocery a few days ago, obviously a lot of others have!
Funny, how some types of business are getting hit hard by all this mess, but others are raking in the dough like grocery stores and their distributors. Lumber companies have probably cut down a few forests over the past week and water companies like Ozarka and Kentwood have to be loving this!
