I know his dad died when he was in HS and after that is when he started getting involved in stuff he had no business getting involved in, but I never understood why he continued to be involved with selling drugs, etc.
People start selling drugs because they need the money, it's not something most people do just because.. But here he was, got drafted by the Patriots, after his rookie contract he got paid. It was dumb for him to live a risky lifestyle when he didn't have to, but this would make sense. He was trying to overcompensate.
