The fact that people were legitimately angry that this show didn’t paint police as the reprehensible lunatics that they want them to be is more alarming than A&E canceling it.
Welcome to America 2020. Feels matter more than facts.

First 48 is in season right now... new episodes every Thursday night at 8 PM Central
seems like their top departments right now are Mobile, Ala. & Tulsa, Okla.
Court Cam is also in season right now... right after First 48... and you could consider Court Cam a Live PD spin-off that somehow survived the culling as it had Live PD branding prior to George Floyd though it no longer carries that branding

Live PD and The First 48 are the only things I watched other than news and sports. Nightwatch was cool when it was in New Orleans, didn't really watch it much once it moved to Tampa and later had some BR scenes too.
Oh, and Intervention. I used to love that show back in the day.
As of this week, I've cancelled my youtube tv. I always hoped they'd eventually add A&E but instead, they added trash and upped the price. Cancelled immediately.
I could still catch Live PD reruns on Amazon Prime but they pulled those off too.
My TV is now a black wall decoration. I go days without turning it on.

It's also worth remembering that A&E stands for "Arts and Entertainment" and their program used to reflect that. Same with The History Channel, who opted to air reality TV about a pawn shop owner and ancient aliens over, you know, history.
Both networks pivoted to broadcasting trash tailored to the lowest common denominator of society and saw their ratings shoot through the roof. It's not surprising to see their ratings suffer when they yank it.

Phil Robertson did not praise homos and A&E wanted to boot him off of the show. The family told A&E that there would be no show without Phil. A&E decided to keep the cash cow.
They learned nothing. They are virtue signaling to the detriment of the bottom line. Disney gets pissed when someone messes with their money.

FWIW... 1 of the more completely disheartening First 48 cases I've seen over the last couple seasons has to be the murder of Kay Raines... a 68 year old Mobile woman who was last seen alive at the Beau Rivage casino
her body was found in Baldwin County, Alabama
the person charged in her murder... her own son, Clarke Raines
