Luckily for us the Houthis only shoot off one or two at a time so we haven’t exactly had the same opportunity.

This might surprise you(it will) but not all fighter variants(especially older ones) have recordable HUDs.
I can guarantee you we gave them some retrofitted F-16s that baked in the desert sun for a few years.

I have been involved with F-16s all the way back to block 10. LOL even the Paki 10s setting in the Desert with a handful of hours have HUD tape AVTR.
Additionally the Viper they received were from NATO allies converting to F-35s
So block 30 or newer.
