For any parents of a child with underlying health conditions

I have a 6 year old son with asthma. This virus has me worried about him a lot. Stories like this make me feel better. I want to hear more of this and less of the other.

Are inhalers still a thing for people with asthma? I remember seeing that quite often decades back, but I don’t have kids. So not sure if other treatment exists or it’s just out of sight for me.

CF patients do crazy lung clearing excercises daily. Coughing and spitting and clearing ..CPT too. It’s gross actually and seems like a lot of work. I think people with the respiratory effects from covid that are at home would benefit from these exercises. Glad this little guy did well!

There was an ER doc on here the other day, and i asked about asthma because i have it. He said asthma isnt really a big factor with this in anything they have seen. It is elderly, obese, or heart problems.

Every doc I’ve spoken with said asthma is not a huge concern.

As a parent of a CF patient, I can attest to the treatment. He has not left the house in 3 weeks and we have upped his treatments. He needs to stay as far away as possible from this shite.
