I think they would be more freaked out about things that were around but have changed rather than new things like the internet. In 1959 if you were gay you kept that shite quiet. Look at Rock Hudson. I think people would be surprised at how out in the open gay people are.

They would definitely be shocked at how sensitive, weak, perverted and pussified most Americans are in this day and time. America back then was strong and wouldn't take shite from nobody.
