A good way to visualize the collective IQ of America: Watch people (attempt to) park.

Arrived early for an appointment today and had the privilege to watch people try to park their cars. Most parked at angles, taking up multiple spots, and after getting out of the vehicle, noticed the error but refused to correct.
It’s amazing that with the automotive technology we have available to us with backup cameras standard on most vehicles and now with cameras being placed front, and side. There’s no excuse for shitty parking.
If you can’t prove you can park within the lines correctly you shouldn’t be operating a motor vehicle.

It’s a pet peeve of mine. I drive a Tahoe so I’ve become used to parking a bigger vehicle and I always make sure I’m lined up correctly. Sometimes it takes a back up and correction.
I hate seeing some a-hole take up two spaces because they don’t pay attention or have no regard for others.

That's weird. I guarantee I can go to every parking lot around here and MOST cars are parked perfectly fine.
Me thinks you hyperbolize a bit much.

Yes. There are even side cameras that have bird's eye view that’s lets you see your parking overhead. Really helps with making it between the spaces.

My stepdaughter will walk for blocks after finding an easy spot to park instead of even attempting to back into a tight parallel parking spot.
She has no clue how it works in spite of many attempts by both me and her mother to teach her the technique.
