I think he's a smart dude (I know, I know) but I think he applies his meticulous attention to detail towards some curious things. The whole "figuring out women" thing is super frightening to me. The gambling algorithm is almost impressive because he has invested lots of time into it (or just posting about it, but I don't think that's true)
If he would just cool it on making romantic relationships into some kind of pseudoscience, I think he'd be ok. I understand how bad experiences with women can lead to searching for answers, but people aren't video games you can win at.

Have they left their town? Yes people have called me smart, but certainly not the most intelligent person they've ever met. That doesn't really happen for well traveled people who meet smart people all the time.
Unless I met a Sam Harris (which I assure you that you aren't) then I can't say I would call anyone the most intelligent person I've ever met. That's a really high bar, and a dozen or so people are coming into my mind as being the smartest people I know personally.
