I had Ebola yesterday.

Drank 15 beers and smoked some weed. I'm better now.

Everyone is freaking out because someone that was exposed to Ebola everyday is sick. I'd be freaking out if his casual contacts starting coming down left and right. Not that someone who dealt with him got it. You don't know what the worker did. Of course the hospital is gonna say they were decked out in all ppe all the time, they don't wanna get sued.

And they could have been in ppe all the time. If they don't decontaminate properly, you're still exposing yourself.

Exactly. The bubble suits do no good if you don't take everything off the right way and in the proper order.

They don't spray the suits down before taking them off?

I hope we don't pass up this perfect opportunity to nuke Dallas.

Part of the issue. The spray, if not in proper concentrate, can harbor the disease and aid in transmission. I'm kind of surprised they aren't using a hot drier on the suits to ensure there are no fluids on the suits.

I'm in healthcare and I'm well versed in CDC Bloodborne Pathogen protocols and OSHA procedures.

I already have masks, tyvek gowns, face shields, and utility & treatment gloves at my house. I've used them for other random tasks but I will probably be beefing up my stocks.

This is going to get real bad.

Every once in a while, the Feds need to actually do something. This is one of those times.

Ten people get this and imo, its out of control.

Hell, obviously they couldn't control it when ONE person had it. Bad news.

I don't even understand how people can under-estimate this situation.

This proves how easily this shite spreads. The CDC and government are lying about the severity of this.
Right, because everyone's been saying it doesn't spread easily. . .

Dumb arse.

I mean, it's like they've never played Plague Inc.

almost too late.

A world wide travel ban should have been instituted once it was known that the outbreak was exploding in those shithole countries.

It's a virus that has been known to burn out quickly, except we keep letting people move about and spread it further and further into susceptible communities.

Do you know that the had the "bubble suit"? Or was it just your standard PPE? Gloves, plastic gown that does not really cover everything, and a surgical mask?

And decontamination may be lacking? Everyplace got a decon shower during the anthrax panic. But do they still work? One facility I worked it became storage?

I am just not convinced that ALL hospitals have CDC levels of PPE? Do you need the "Outbreak Suit"? I do not know? Gonna be damned tough to find staff to take care of the next guy.

Don't worry. The Feds got this handled.

They're gonna take temperatures of people coming from at-risk countries once they get off the plane here.

Yep, nothing can go wrong.
