What’s makes them so successful is some of these groups have families that are in charge of different crops, trades, etc.They work 6 days a week and usually off on Sunday’s for church and family time. Anyway if one trade or crop isn’t doing well they get picked up by others in the group through sharing. Saw a group in Canada that was like that. They had a chicken farm, hogs, machine shop, wheat, barley, dairy farm, etc. They only allow so many families in the group. Once it gets too big certain members have to move into another or new colonies. That includes offspring. If daughters marry someone from another colony they rarely get to see their parents because they work so much.

A crew of them came down from Iowa or someplace after the 2016 floods and just started working on houses. They would show up wherever it looked like somebody needed help.

There is a Mennonite cabinet maker that lives in a real nice house on the water a couple houses down from our camp. Has about 10 kids. They have a swimming pool and a real nice deck boat. I occasionally see the Mennonite girls wearing their dresses and bonnets out on the water tubing behind the deck boat.

No shite..I can't tell the amount of times I have helped family, friends move a full house of furniture and stuff. When it came time for me to move they were no where to be found. I ended having to pay movers.
