Does the dog get him home somehow if he has too much?

Yes, the dog will get him home. As long as the guy can remember the commands.

I heard this joke 75yrs ago but:

Blind guy orders a drink. Bartender says "you can't bring dogs in here", blind guy says "it's my guide dog". Bartender says "you have a Chihuahua for a guide dog?", blind guy says "I have a Chihuahua for a guide dog?".

last time I saw this, the blind guy grabbed his dog by the collar and was swinging it around over his head. I asked, "what the hell, man"?. he said......"sorry, just taking a look around".
