Pretty Acres was the only course I've ever seen where dudes golfed shirtless and in jorts. It was truly white trash.

I played many little league football games at Ozone Field in Cov. Then my parents would always take us to Pizza Man afterwards. Good times.
Badeau's was incredible for the desserts alone. Malts, milkshakes, Sundays, etc.
Go Big was my spot for skateboard gear when I was 12. They had the big skateboard competitions in the parking lot once a month in the summer.
Also I can remember when the courthouse used to be a huge scrap metal yard dividing downtown covington from the hood.

Used to play there. Late afternoons, Hank Stram would show up with his bassett hound and play 1,2,3. He told me he knew the owners and played for free after 5pm. I even saw him one day laying on his belly by the one hole with a pond by it scooping balls out. Cheap bastard.

I have to say I am really impressed Joe's Shoes has stayed in the same location in Mandeville and still exists today.
All the stores in that shopping area have changed. Hell, even Times, which may have been there the second longest --- was a Mexican restaurant at first.

Joes shoes started in downtown Covington. That's where I got my school shoes back in the day.

Now that I think about it...
What was the name of the drugstore that is in the shopping center near Deer Run where the jewler is now? It's a couple shops down from Six Fortune (another staple of Mandeville that's still open).

Married a worker from Roller Kingdom.
Maison Nez. River Forest Mart.
Boston street pub.
Perry's putt putt.
Hahaha. The old SSA dorms and scaring young kids.
Marleys, Hoots, Eve Parade, rubys roadhouse.

Old scrap yard in downtown covington.
Land O Pines.
I am old.

I've seen Land-O-Pines mentioned a few times...
I have to say the best part about it was the creek in the back!

I worked at Camelot Music in Northshore Square from 97 to 99. Had to deal with the rise of teeny boppers and nu-metal, as well as Phil Anselmo making a couple of surprise appearances.
