Anyone remember Roller Kingdom in Covington, or Sillyville in Mandeville? Good times..I wish these places were still around. Definitely had a lot of fun.

I grew up in Bedico. Back before it turned into a decent place to live.

And yeah I remember the RK in Covington. I had more fun jumping off of the old train track bridge into the Tangipahoa River near Hidden Oaks. Really wasn't much to do out there for kids back then. Hard to convince the parents to take you to Hammond or Covington to do anything.

Some of my best friends were from Madisonville. Definitely bought plenty of underaged beer at that gas station

The Dairy Queen in Mandeville.
Bears
PYC races
Taking our pirogues past the marina towards 190 with compound bows to shoot shite
Christmas lights on the neutral ground
When the A&P got computer maps on the carts to find items in the store
Spent every weekend here as a kid with my grandparents

Pearl River had 1 red light when I lived there - now it's unrecognizable with all of the restaurants and warehouses.

Did you ever drive over to the seafood buffet? Frog legs were the bomb.
I've heard it's still open, but I'm done with buffets.

Northshore had shite in the 90s.

Pelican Park before it grew too much.

Putt Putt golf before it grew too much.

The Trace before it was extended.

French Market before it grew too much.

The Holiday Square movie theater before it grew too much.

The Abita Springs Pavillion in its original position.

Tiffany Lanes is the only remnant of Mandeville from the 90s that has remained in its same state. I respect that.

The RC plane store by the theater and the Saturday get togethers in the field behind it when people would fly U control and some smaller RC planes was cool.

I wrecked a lot there. Good times

PYC has not changed much. Renovated and remodeled, but still pretty much the same.

Lewisburg hasn't changed much either.

Oh and this is pre-Pelican Athletic Club

Francos pre-expansion was better.

This is also pre-Fountainbleau Jr and Sr High.

Haha.

Mandeville kids thought that it was trashy and dangerous to go there.

When Copeland was trying to buy the area where Sunset Point is, the town went nuts. Nobody wanted him flying a chopper in and out of town. lol

Don't forget the $3 movie theatre. I saw Ace Ventura there.

The gravel road called hotsy totsy with the old bar at the end. Now it's all just lonesome rd.
