You could buy Xenadrine and Hydroxycut off the shelf at Walmart or Mini-Thins at any shitty gas station in the 90s-early 2000s. That shite was legalized speed. We were popping them like candy in my early days in the military. On mission and have to stay up for 2,3,4 days... no worries, grab the ephedra.
The crash sucked arse but I wish I could still go down to the local Haji gas station and by a bottle of Mini-thins for $5. Good times...

Edit: moronic way to get high. Ephedrine is much stronger peripherally (heart) than centrally (brain) and taking enough to get you high puts crazy strain on your heart

You can buy Xenadrine and Hydroxicut... but they don't have ephedrine in them. It was banned in the US.

Jesus, I remember Mini-Thins. Taken at about quintuple the recommended dosage, they worked like a charm.

I took Mini-thins exactly one time. My heart felt like it was beating out of my chest and I was on the verge of panicking. Since that experience, I'll never take any shite like that, energy drinks, etc ever again.

Edit: because it works much more peripherally than on the CNS, it can be bought over the counter as primatene for asthma as a bronchodilator

Just looked and ephedra is still banned by the FDA. Some ephedrine alkaloids are allowed... but it's not the same stuff I'm talking about.

Idk i guess we just got used to it. Sometimes we'd have to stay awake for days at a time. Taking ephedra made you feel like you could run through walls. The worst part was when you stopped and you hit that wall.

I remember back in the day (90-91) where I as a young one, took mini thins. like 8 over a 4 hr period. I had so much energy, felt great, got home and remember laying on my parent's front porch, shirt off, seeing my heartbeat when looking at my chest. I loved the energy, but that night scared me off of them. When we are kids/learning/immature, we do some really stupid things.

Yeah I remember that stuff. I bought a bottle of either hydroxycut, or xenadrine, but it made me feel like my heart was going to explode so I chucked it in the bin.
