I'm so glad I didn't grow up in this generation. How fricking depressing.

The irony, of course, being it was posted on TikTok with AI. Ugh. And here I am, watching it on my phone on a nice Sunday evening bitching about it to strangers.

meh. I say the same things in person to everyone about everything those kids say the last 5 years.

No one pointing out the irony that the video was posted on TikTok and Twitter?

Yes. But that's no more ironic than a TV documentary arguing that the world was better before TV.

The 90’s kids are today’s millennials - they ruined everything for kids who grew up in 70s & 80’s…

To be honest, 2005 to 2012 wasn’t that bad either. Social media didn’t start to seriously take off until around 2015-2016

The early 2010s were basically an extension of 2000s pop culture and fashion trends if you think about it.

The first goof to ever show me an iPhone was in 2007 and he acted like he had just bought the greatest invention in the world and would not put it away. “Here! Look I can find any restaurant within two seconds!” “Look at this…I can know where I’m going before I ever leave!” “Man I’m sorry but if you don’t have an iPhone with this touch screen, you’re missing out!”

I wanted to beat him senseless then and lo and behold, he’s still as dumb as dried out dookie and a whole world audience has since joined him. 2002-2007 was just enough internet where we could have lived with and been happy with. Social media and Pandora’s box arrived after.

And if you don't agree with it, you will lose your job and be "cancelled", while the people who cancel you call you a "fascist".

"And they still get lost" describes my dad to a T

He could find anything until google maps. Now he couldn't find a McDonald's on Airline Hwy if his life depended on it.

I remember in middle school I used to carpool with this dude who loved video games. He had the Nintendo magazine, he also used to read his required amount of books to get free pizza at Pizza Hut all of the time and I got in trouble for calling him a "fricking nerd".

Nintendo was cool on rainy or cold days, but I used to spend 90% of my time outside

What's funny is, most of the inside scenes looked like houses from the 70's...
