Their is no such thing as closure. And watching that certainly wouldn’t help.

I agree with the first part. I'm not sure how a Minecraft style shitty recreation does anything to move the needle.

But I do watch LEO/civilian interactions which end up in someone dead. I do it for the precise reason to understand how things escalate, how fast the situation develops, and how cruel people can be. Forewarned is forearmed. It's grisly and depressing, but ignoring how non logical people act isn't a solution.

Even just reading some of the situation descriptions on the Officer Down Memorial Page are depressing. Don't get me started on the K9s down.

It was a body falling that killed the firefighters chaplain

The chaplain died of a heart attack. This was proven from the autopsy report. There were pictures of him being carried out and they placed his body at the alter at the catholic church a few blocks up. If a falling body impaled him from 90 stories i dont think he would have been intact as morbid as that sounds

There are plenty of videos more notorious than this that are discoverable. If this video existed, it would be circulating by now.

Buildings aren't on fire in recreation.

Adding music and giving it a silly name doesn’t help, but the raw footage should exist, even if faces are blurred (assuming bodies are recognizable) so we can really live up to our “never forget”.

Otherwise that fire inside will go out over time.

I don't see why that is supposed to be disturbing. Anyone who followed the news that day and days and weeks after saw video of people jumping out of the window and that video pretty much shows what I assumed happened to the body once they hit.

I can't imagine being in that situation where your best option to survive was to jump what? 30 something stories. I can still picture seeing those people jumping out and thinking "I wonder what they were thinking as they were droppings?".

But this recreated video isn't disturbing. Its reality. We are just watching it, there were people who saw it in person. Now that would be disturbing.

Most of the poor souls who jumped were above the 70th (can’t remember exact floor) in one tower and 90th floor in the other. They were trapped above where the planes struck.
