Why do you have to go on a task force led sweep to serve your damn violent crime warrants?

I don't know how else to ask the question

Pardon me stewardess. I speak Alabama.

Why does NO need a task force to conduct a sweep in order to serve warrants on individuals accused of violent crimes?

As it should be, given the OP is framed as if this is some monumental accomplishment.

This is a thread about the police arresting people who already had warrants out for their arrest. It is about the most basic task you should expect from a police department.

That's about 3 a day. If no more murders are committed they'll have the city cleaned up by Easter 2025.

They prob arrested more people that were driving with a suspended license than they did murderers.

What a joke.

The FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force and the New Orleans branch of the U.S. Marshals Service performed integral roles, and the NOPD received help from the Kenner Police Department, state Department of Probation and Parole, Louisiana State Police, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and sheriff's offices in Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, St. Charles and St. John the Baptist parishes.

The operation also included New Orleans EMS tactical medics."

They pulled it off because President Donald J. Trump has increased the federal police presence in NOLA over the last two months and forced the NOPD to take credit for something that every other agency actually worked on. It will be interesting to see how many of these arrests were Federal and how many were State charges because is the real answer to how dangerous these criminals are. INS immigration sweeps were part of the 181 arrest warrants.

So Trump did something but refused to take credit for it?
