There were 5 people killed in 12 different shootings two days ago in Milwaukee. Murders/shootings are seemingly up in every city this year.

When cops are either told not to enforce the law or decide so on their own because they don’t want to get charged or sued, the shitheads figure out quickly they probably won’t get caught.

This is just the start of a long, brutal, war with no end in sight.
Baton Rouge has always been a violent city per capita, but what we've been used to in the past will fail in comparison to what I anticipate is coming.
Race relations, false accusations, and the constant political pandering of elected leaders in response to video of encounters between police officers and people of color have created a perfect storm that will slowly plague communities of color across the country.
No one intended for the outcomes to arise from "starting a conversation" or being "woke" over an incident, but there will be fall out. Fall out in the form of everyday violence.
Uniformed police officers across this country are sitting on their hands and will continue to do so for a long time in this political climate. This will trickle down to conflicts ending with gunfire instead of a rude white officer messing with the someone or whatever racist motive you have heard before.
I would encourage everyone to be vigilant moving forward. Minimize risk of exposure using common sense on the locations and time of day you frequent areas. Avoid verbal conflicts like the plague, even as a witness, and lock your doors to your vehicle if you choose to keep weapons inside of it.
Stealing a line from muh Covid, today is reflective of our "new normal".
