5 children and 3 adults.

quote:

The sergeant on the scene called for a High Risk Operations Unit, similar to SWAT, to help make entry and investigate. While the call was being placed, deputies surrounded the home and spotted the body of a juvenile through a window.

At that point, the four deputies on scene forced their way in, and the 49-year-old male suspect inside began shooting, the sheriff's office said. Deputies pulled back and waited for the HROU to arrive.

I guess it will depend on his relationship with the victims. If he is a relative to them it should get the same or even more attention then the Broken Arrow killings. If its lets say drug related it probably won't get the national attention.

they saw a dead kid through a window. they tried to get in the home but received fire but they didn't know who or how many were in the home or what kind of weapons he had. thats why you have people that are specially trained for situations like this...and thats why he surrendered

You mean, like police?

and thats why he surrendered
Worst possible outcome as far as I'm concerned. The world would be a better place without him.

I took that to mean he began shooting victims.

Swat didnt save anyone's life but the murderer's. The cops on the the seen should have cleared the building.
