Good, I don't think we will make much noise this season, but we have the makings of a playoff team a year or so down the road. The west is just too deep for a team like the Pelicans.

See the thing is, multiple people have explained to you the opposite viewpoint on this topic. The country decided not to allow laws that would subject someone to government persecution for expressing their beliefs. This same country has made it clear that private entities are pretty much free to do as they please with respect to free speech.
Look, I'm the same person that thinks the uproar over the Kaepernick stuff is ridiculous, but I'm not opposed to the 49ers or the 76ers stepping in and controlling how their product is displayed.
I'd be arguing along side you if this woman or Kaepernick were prosecuted in a court of law for their actions.

The constitution only protects freedom of expression from government prosecution. No one will throw her in jail for wearing a "We Matter" shirt. But that doesn't mean that a privately owned company who hired her to perform at their event has to allow it while she's representing their team/company in front of a national audience.

You mean the point they are saying she is on "company time". I mean that would be a pretty bullet proof argument if I was claiming that the 76ers are practicing any unlawful acts. But what you and the rest of those tards fail to comprehend is I merely asked why does the 76ers hate freedom? I mean they want her to sing about the land of the free, however she is prohibited to freely express her self. She was never told of any wardrobe restrictions until 2 minutes before singing the anthem. I mean whatever you can cling to the company time thing all you want. Just keep my name out your mouth if you can't explain to me how they are promoting unity if they refuse to accept the belief of a group of people who are claiming they matter.

I never said they violated her constitutional rights. I just asked about the 76ers true belief in freedom of speech.

I am more of a ask for forgiveness than permission kind of guy. I mean he doesn't have an issue with the guy that wore the south will rise again t shirt. So I would assume I am good.

And you continue to fail to understand that the freedom to expression goes both ways. The 76ers simply exercised their freedom to not want their singing of the anthem to be a showcase for political statements and publicity stunts. And lol at using the term "promoting unity" as if that is what Streeter was trying to do.
