How many places in the US right now have ripe bell peppers in their garden? Most people are just now planting them.

Let's just get down to brass tacks.

OP never intended to talk about bell peppers or making Trinity.

He wanted to shite on Trump, but knows he wouldn't last 30 seconds on Political Talk board.

That's what is really going on here.

I can buy a green bell pepper today for .79 cents at HEB.

If my goal is to buy a pound of them and each one is 0.2 - 0.33 pounds each I can get bell peppers for $2.40 - $2.50 per pound.

You left out useful information about where bell peppers are going for $6 per pound. Did you leave out the obvious follow up question reasonable people will want to have because you just wanted to bitch about your problems?

Deodorant was $9.49 at Publix. I’ll use some Dawn under there.

That's absurd, was it a 3-pack? If y'all live in high-dollar Beverly Hills type areas which shite is naturally more expensive, that's one thing. I know inflation exists (at a significantly lower rate than during the Biden admin) but ain't nobody paying that for a stick of deodorant. For non-perishable shite like that, toothpaste, et al, get it on Amazon for 1/3 the price.

Also, the reason Publix's motto is "Where shopping is a pleasure" is because they intentionally price out the poors, so shopping is actually more pleasurable. But there's a cost for it. This has been known for 20 years.

Anyone complaining about the cost of any one particular thing at Publix should automatically be dismissed from any thoughtful intelligent conversation.

Being overpriced is their whole fricking schtick.

Same bottle of Old Spice I’ve been using since College(20 years). I went and put it back in the shelf after she scanned it and said no thank you. Shopped at Rouses today and it was about $20 cheaper for the same amount of groceries from Publix. $40 instead of $60.

Edit to add Publix makes damn good Lemon Pound Cake. I’ve had 3 since Afroman started singing about it. Same thing happened with Colt 45 and 2 zig zags.

That's true. They are not ready until late June, early July. But $5.99 is highway robbery. I just looked at prices, walmart sells them for $1.27 per bell pepper. I searched this part, but 5 medium bell peppers equal a pound. 3 large one equal a pound. If you buy 5 medium size bell peppers from walmart that's $6.35.
