Good. If you can't compete...winn-dixies around Jacksonville blow and Bi-Lo is a low end store as well.

was here about 15 years ago when the Davis family filed for bankruptcy and Winn Dixie ended up screwing alot of long time employees and retirees. They came out pretty good from it last time but they just can't compete out here with Publix and the cheap prices at Walmart. I guess now with places like trader Joe's and whole foods Winn Dixie may not bounce back this time.
Yep, the grocery demand is there, but these stores feel like you are walking back into the 1980s.

The ones here on the North Shore are nice too.
False. The WD near the causeway is absolute shite compared to the Rouses right next to it

In my estimation, the Winn Dixies around here offer probably the worst price/value combination of any of the chains.
They have neither the convenience and friendliness of the local mom and pop or mid size regional stores, the quality and selection of the nicer large supermarkets nor the price advantage of the discount stores.
It's no wonder they are not doing well.

Looks like a lot more Rouse's will be opening.

Winn-dixie is neither a high-end grocer, nor an affordable one such as Walmart. It sucks

Winn Dixie was my first job.
They will always have a soft spot in my heart but they have not done a good job changing with the times.
