My employer just asked all management to take a 50% salary cut for the foreseeable future until this corona virus hysteria passes. I dont exactly live paycheck to paycheck but I dont think my family can survive in our current situation for more than a month with that kind of cut.

Sounds like your company lives paycheck to paycheck

I’d ask for profit sharing if you do

If the alternative is 100% cut then I would take it

Let your wife and daughter know that there is plenty of room at my house,..and that this is still The OT.

Sounds like they are trying to keep people employed. They can go about it another way if people don't buy in.

Boss man is using the hysteria to save him some cash. I’d ask to see the books or tell him to GFY

Man that’s tough. People adjust their standard of living to what they earn, no matter who they are for the most part. To cut salary in half is a really thought one. Sorry bro.

Are you sitting at home doing nothing?

Will you get a 50% raise when asked to work extra hours?

I'd tell them to get fricked. Take it out of profits.

I voluntarily took a 50% cut so I could work from home. I can only do half my work from home and I am high risk.

Damn. Our low level management makes about 15-20% more than tenured staff. In that case I'd be pissed

What are your options?

Do you think they are exploiting the Corona to take advantage of you
