They are the worst.
No dually.
No cool trailer.
No rich dad that brings the fiancé into the family oil business.

FIFY

If the horse isn't being rented and cost more than 30K and they drive a decent/nice car, they most probably didn't/aren't paying for that on their own. Vet bills for horses are through the roof

You can take a cheap to free horse and turn it into something worth $30,000...

All without a rich daddy or husband.

maybe Secretariat's great grandson, but owning and maintaining a horse isn't expensive until you get into some sort of competitive horse circles like, dressage, any type of racing, showing, jumping,, hunting, etc.

Uhhh, it’s not? I beg to differ. And I show some but I’m too poor to do more than a few a year. And board is the most expensive part. Gotta pay that even when not showing.

And everybody is either secretariat’s great grandson (he was pretty much a flop at stud but turned into a good broodmare sire )or Seattle Slew’s something. At least in tb circles.

I’m sure you get pissy when people frick up plane talk. I know nothing about planes so I don’t comment.

Just saying that secretariat relatives are a dime a dozen

I said cost, not worth. Yes, there are instances where you get a cheap horse that turns out to be amazing, but that isn't what was said. If someone paid 30K for the horse and also drives a decent vehicle, 9 times out of 10, they did not pay for it.

I know someone who drives a super fancy car and just imported 2 from Europe

Paid for herself

One is a sales horse so she will get some back because she chose well. Can’t girls have high paying jobs?

At no point did I say it was impossible. You are literally taking a snip of what is said and disregarding everything else.

To be clear, you are saying it is more common than not for girls to pay for their horses on their own?

Yes I have a chip. Because I work hard as hell to pay for mine

your answer depends on the barn. Any barn I’ve been at, no.

Fancy arse barns with kids mostly forced into horses, yes.

Also depends on the discipline.

Random question...I was just told that the Far NorthTX area (pilot point/sherman/dennison) is like a mecca of horse training. Any truth to that? Particular kind of horses/training?

Just threw me off when I heard that, and intrigues me.
