When you listen and don’t try to fix her

It's always funny when I see this. They want us to accept them for what they are but won't do the same. That's all they do is try to fix us. Men are hard wired to try/want/need to fix things.

This.

Why is it always: "Men need to change and be more empathetic to women" and never: "Women need to change and quit expecting empathy from men"?

If a women wants help solving a problem, she should go to a man. If she wants someone to cry with her, she should go to a woman.

My husband and I have been married 22 years and have two teenage daughters. Several years into our marriage, he learned to ask at the beginning of a conversation, "do you want me to try and help in this situation or do you need me to just listen?" He also does it with our girls. Whether it makes us crazy or not, sometimes just talking it out and having someone listen helps us solve the problem?

women say this shite, then have the nerve to complain about shouldering the emotional labor of the house.

Learning to "listen" ignore and not argue back should be 1.

I don't understand (maybe that's your argument, lol). If he listens, we feel better, he gets laid and everyone is happy, what's the problem??
