I don't think that's the best place to put a hotel. LINK

Weird. There's some gentrification going on there but its still not a good area and there are a LOT of...urban bars really really nearby.

Won't survive unless people can start paying for hotel rooms with Section 8 vouchers

I don't think so either. Though it may sucker some tourist into that area due to how close it is to the french quarter. They won't know not to get a hotel there.

I feel bad for the people who will book that hotel not knowing where it is.

The St. Bernard Avenue hotel plans include eight off-street parking spaces; the developer is seeking a waiver for the required 22 spaces, city records show.

Should have a fish fry station in each room for Bayou Classic weekend.

Someone has to go first to redevelop an area. It really isn't that far away from what should be developing...as long as things keep developing the way they are.

That's what we call risk.

I would not pay to stay in that neighborhood. It needs a lot of work still.

So, does that imply that a 7 story hotel is coming to the 9th Ward?

True. They'll probably get the waiver for the 22 spaces because of the street car line expansion.

The neighborhood needs to be redeveloped.
