Yes...parents should choose what rules their kids have to follow and what rules they can ignore.

he believes it is “buffoonish” for students to be required to wear masks in the classroom while thousands are allowed to gather inside the nearby Pete Maravich Assembly Center (PMAC) for basketball games where no masks are required. Nearly 12,000 fans were inside the PMAC Tuesday night to watch the LSU men’s basketball team play against Kentucky. The vast majority of those fans were not wearing a mask.
Common sense would agree with this. But we arent dealing with common sense, their next step will be to mask the basketball crowd as well.

Is the lab school a private school? If so, follow the rules or leave. It's not being a hero making your 4th grader get suspended. Kids shouldn't fight the battle for adults. The adult should have fought the battle by not sending his kid to school.
All rules are not created equal. Especially these stupid mask mandates that accomplish nothing except stunting the social development of children. The administration has zero teeth if the parents refuse to comply.

Pretty sure it is funded with State dollars plus donations

It’s a hybrid school. Half private but funded heavily from the state.

All this will accomplish is that masks will be required at sporting events soon

But they won’t
As long as LSU is winning, people will be there.

I mean, I get it. You've got people that couldn't run the graveyard shift at Taco Bell making these decisions.

Years ago the kid would be worried that this infraction would go on the dreaded permanent record (cum folder). But of course that minor stuff never made it.
Fast forward to the Nanny State today and some nazis would want this kid to have it tattooed on his forehead as well.

This is what got the mask rules lifted from tiger stadium. Seems people arent as interested in going when they have to wear a mask in 100 degree temperatures and watch a bad football team. LSU started losing money and the rule changed. Same will happen at UHigh if enough people start pulling their kids out.

If the director of the school doesn't make the decisions, then who does? It doesn't look like they have to follow district policy being a hybrid school, so...

The dean of the College of Humanities & president of LSU.
UHigh always follows what LSU does.
