46 million dollar wrongful death suit

This is terrible and ikea should be in trouble but doesn’t 46 million seem pretty high??

Yes, it seems exorbitantly high.

That reminds me though, I should anchor the dressers in my kid's room.

Ikea was one of the first companies to put figs in their TV ads

I hope they get taken for every cent they've got

They don't want to go to court... IKEA had $45B in revenue last year, they can easily throw $46M at this to make it go away.

They settled for $46MM, so Ikea clearly thinks this was the best way out.

In this case, Ikea knew of the issues with the specific dresser from other incidents and evidence that they were continuing to ignore US safety standards for the industry.
