Engineering schools are full of them around the country. Hell, they are engineering professors around the country as well.
Do you need a primer on LA culture? Maybe other states are full of Muslims and there is a reason LA doesn't (although we have our share) I think Louisianas cultural is an insulating factor from violent jihadist acts.

Seriously, I hope you are never proven wrong, but that is freakin retarded...

I am quite aware of anywhere, USA's vulnerability, but there are psychological underpinnings to the process of radicalization. I believe that there are protective factors that are in play in Louisiana, more so currently than other states. It's my opinion, and I hope it isn't proven wrong as well.

I was interested to see how Louisiana was somehow more insulated from this stuff than Tennessee

Yeah, figured you were full of shite. Have a blessed weekend!

Dude, Louisiana has much more of a culturally identity than TN.
They only thing that I can think of that is TN is mtv's Jackass.

Tennessee isn't FL. I'm sure Louisiana has a more distinctive culture, but it's not like TN is some void of a state with no natives or history.
Anyway, it sounds to me like this kid broke away from being a hardline Islamist, at least for some period of time. Then it looks like he got wrapped up in it, potentially abroad. That kinda shite can happen anywhere.
A lot of Muslims who end up in situations like this have stories of straying during their youth and then becoming increasingly devout in young adulthood. You're smart enough to want to reconnect with your roots and faith, but not wise enough to not get sucked into a cult, basically.

So what you want to do in the land of the free? Just mass deportations? Or do you want to take it a step further and put em in concentration camps? Just start murdering them outright?
No internment camps. Don't be melodramatic. Some semblance of border security would be a nice start.

Ohh ok so it's fine that whitey shoots up black churches, movie theaters and elementary schools so long as it isn't under the colors of Islam or your arbitrary definition of "terrorism".
My definition of terrorism is when people shoot, blowup or murder in any way for any organization that has declared war on us. Do you not know the difference between violence and terrorism? Do you believe the chicken shite millennial that shot the black people in church was terrorism? What organization was he representing? Maybe the millennials have declared war on black people?

He openly admitted he was hoping for race war. He was influenced by organized white supremacist groups. He may not have been a card carrying member, but neither are these arab shooter usually. It's hard to have serious discussions with people who literally don't know what they are talking about.
Who else sees the irony in those stereotyping all muslims, being the same ones who claimed the rebel flag flyers should not be grouped with the hate mongers?

I doubt you want me agreeing with you

it makes them feel better, mainly because they could not begin to possibly picture someone that looks like them or one of their family members as being a hate monger.

Well you can take the flip side of this and say why is this just a rogue or extremist Muslim, but the kid from the church shooting represents all southern whites?
It's stupid either way

Its a decent point if you believe in superficial, weak-minded, and shallow analysis.
Radical Islam has been attacking our ideals and liberties for how long? Doesnt excuse their actions, or make our fight to eradicate it any less pertinent.
(Southern) whites have been denying the liberties, sensibilities, and humanity of minorities in this country for how long?
Any honest discussion on this comparison cant exclude history, and really cant use the "i wasnt there, so I have nothing to do with it even though i still hold their bigoted views" argument. If cant selectively inherent the good or bad parts of our nations history -- the wholly make us American and make us strive for a more perfect union.

LOOKS LIKE THEM. You are dividing instead of trying to unite us?
quote:You have some real nerve to say such things. "They" are whites? I suppose you are totally different, black maybe? I'm red they say but it is just another result of evolution. There are many variations of color amongst us.
LOOKS LIKE THEM!!!
Keep dividing and I'll show the hard numbers the government has provided. You know you don't like the numbers when the government divides us and assigns blame.

Red, don't let a piece of dumbass like him get you riled up. He lives a miserable life as he is consumed with color and labels as most liberals are.

The irony is the dipshits who don't realize their little conundrum works in the opposite direction, too.
